I am a solution focused Marriage & Family Therapist, and I will work with you on identifying and using your unique strengths to help you cope with the challenges and changes in your life.

  • Masters degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute, Bachelor of Science in Business, from California Lutheran University.

  • 20+ years as a Human Resources professional (VP Talent Acquisition at Countrywide, Union Bank and Health Net), helping others find fulfilling careers and establish safe, secure workplaces, giving me insight into helping people make their work lives and personal lives better.

  • I was a bariatric surgery patient (Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, August 2009, 180+ pounds lost, physical and emotional health gained). The psychological and emotional elements associated with this experience can be complicated. I bring my own knowledge and my unique experience as a patient to my professional practice as a  therapist.

  • Prior to starting private practice, I counseled individuals, families and groups at The Valley Women's Center and provided group, individual  and family counseling services to clients in a comprehensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program.

  • By nature I am direct and honest and I add humor to my therapeutic approach while creating an environment that makes clients feel comfortable and at ease. My personal and professional life experience has helped me in private practice to guide others as they struggle to cope with the unexpected life changes that many people face.
